HP Num lock on start up - Windows 11


Step 1. Press Win + R and type in Regedit

Step 2. Navigate to registry key HKEY_USERS\Default\Control Panel\Keyboard

Step 3. Right click on the “InitialKeyboardIndicators”, select Modify and change Value data from 21474833648 to 21474833650


Step 4. Save and exit Registry.

This method was discovered by examining the Windows 11 OOBE source code, which revealed an event listener for a hidden  _localAccountButton . Note A faster method has since been discovered using Command Prompt ( Source ), this repo was made 7 months prior to that discovery.
