ShoreTel Communicator 14.2  - The application experienced an unexpected error

I know of two possible causes for this error:

1. Communicator has attempted to create more than 10,000 window handles, which is a system-imposed limitation on any application. Not a lot you can do about this one.

2. The Microsoft Common Controls ActiveX library is not properly registered. Reregister it by running this command from an elevated command prompt.

For 32-bit systems:

regsvr32 c:\Windows\System32\MSCOMCTL.OCX

For 64 bit systems:

regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWoW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX

Download RevoUninstaller

Uninstall ShoreTel Communicator and delete all leftovers files and register keys.

Reinstall ShoreTel Communicator
