 Dell H200 crossflashing to IT mode for FreeNAS
with Dell R510 server


Tools

Change the boot order to UEFI and boot from USB, map the USB drive fs0:

  1. Create free DOS boot USB and unzip A11 package to USB Key root
  2. Change the Boot mode UEFI and Boot with USB key
  3. UEFI shell select USB "fs0:"
  4. Erase flash memory "sas2flash.efi -o -e 6"
  5. Write Dell 6Gbps firmware Write Dell 6Gbps firmware  "sas2flash.efi -o -f 6gbpsas.fw -b mptsas2.rom"
  6. Write SAS address "sas2flash -o -sasadd 5782bcbxxxxxxxxx
  7. Reboot and Ctrl+C to verify, MPT firmware end with IT, and Change the boot support to "Enabled OS Only"
  8. Reboot the Server and Change the Boot mode to BIOS
