Killer e2400 gigabit ethernet controller upload speed slow
Slow upload speeds on a Killer E2400 can be caused by outdated drivers, specific adapter settings, and issues with the Killer Control Center software. To fix this, update your drivers, adjust adapter settings like Large Send Offload (disabling it can help) and ensure Speed and Duplex is set to auto-negotiate or 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex. You can also disable features in the Killer Control Center that may be limiting bandwidth, such as disabling the prioritization engine or setting bandwidth limits manually.
Driver and adapter settings
- Update your network drivers: Go to your motherboard manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers for the Killer E2400, as Windows may not install the optimal ones automatically.
- Adjust "Large Send Offload": In Device Manager, go to your Killer E2400 properties, then the "Advanced" tab. Try disabling "Large Send Offload (IPv4)" and "Large Send Offload (IPv4) v2".
- Set Speed and Duplex: In the same "Advanced" tab, find the "Speed & Duplex" property and set it to "Auto Negotiation." If that doesn't work, try setting it to "1 Gbps Full Duplex".
- Disable power saving: Turn off any power-saving modes for your network adapter to prevent it from reducing speed to save power.
Killer Control Center adjustments
- Disable bandwidth limits: Open the Killer Control Center, go to Settings, and ensure any bandwidth limits are disabled or set to a high enough value for your connection.
- Turn off Gigalite: In the Killer Control Center settings, turn off the "Gigalite" feature, which can sometimes interfere with high-speed connections.
- Disable the prioritization engine: In the Killer Intelligence Center, try disabling the prioritization engine to see if it improves speeds.
